One Stop Shop aims to provide a radical vision of what it means to be self-sufficient in our work and lives.

This vision will manifest in two main ways:

A. Through the One Stop Shop school offering affordable classes in skills we want and need,
taught by us, for us.
B. Through a regularly occurring social gathering for us to come together,
eat great food, show our skills, and share our strategies.



THE SCHOOL	THE GATHERINGS
The class topics vary as more teachers join our collective. If you are interested in teaching, making some extra cash, and sharing your skills, send an email! If you are interested in taking a class, please lookout for online schedule and registration soon and join our facebook group for updates! Chef Cooking/Food Prep Video Editing Photoshop Illustrator Dreamweaver Mac Maintenance and Basic Tech Photography Home Workout Self Promotion and Outreach Grant Writing Basic DJing Making your own Website Strategic Communications Writing Event Planning and Organizing Video Production Public Speaking Workshop Facilitation Reading Music Acting Healing and Chakras Stretching and Body Awareness Home Schooling Meditation Basic Auto Mechanics	The gatherings will be a venue for folks to show off their work live (musicians, chefs, DJs, visual artists, dancers, etc.). We are all surrounded by tremendous talent and often do not have the opportunity to check each other out. It will be a multi-disciplinary showcase event complete with our DJs on the 1s and 2s, our chefs presenting food to salivate over and taste, our visual artists exhibiting their masterpieces, our musicians providing you with live music, our dancers showing stunning movement, our clothing and jewelry designers showing their creations on performers, and everything else we do that we do so well and love. It will be an opportunity for us to share our strategies, learn tips from one another about our work, find more ways to get the word out, and make connections with like-minded creatives. We would also like to create a space where our incredible talent can be seen by those who want to hire us for gigs. Therefore, some of these gatherings will be open to friends and people in our respective industries. Because of the wonderful number of supporters of creativity and arts in New York City, we will be able to have these events at amazing venues. One Stop Shop is a School of Hard Knocks of sorts, and very grassroots. We’re going to be using facilities, materials and spaces that we have available to us already. For example, most classes will take place at people's houses. Maybe in the future we will expand into renting spaces or receiving grants, but for now, it seems revolutionary to do it this way. And this is an ideal way for us to keep costs way down.
